Technology
Engineered for the industrial environment
Every component is chosen for one reason: it has to keep working, cycle after cycle, in dust, coolant and vibration.
Servo-driven
Precise, controlled door motion without compressed air.
Servo-driven actuation delivers smooth, consistent opening and closing.Self-learning controller
Automatically detects resistance and adapts to the machine door for safe, precise operation. No programming. No adjustments.
Industrial reliability
Built and tested for continuous use on the shop floor. CNC AutoDoor is engineered to perform shift after shift.
All electronics, the controller and cable connections are housed inside a sealed Rittal control cabinet. Only the drive motor is integrated into the door opener itself, with IP56 protection against dust and water spray.
Safety
The control module is self-learning and automatically detects resistance, allowing the CNC AutoDoor to operate safely without the need for additional limit switches, external safety sensors, light curtains or pressure sensors.
Heavy-door capability
Solutions for CNC machine doors up to 700 kg, with travel up to 4000 mm.
Automatic door opening at cycle end
An optional function opens the door automatically when the CNC machine cycle is finished, providing a clear visual signal that the machine is ready for the next part.
No compressed air
No air supply, air lines or pneumatic components required. Less maintenance and no air leaks.
FAQ
Frequently asked questions
Still have questions?
We’re here to help you!
How does CNC AutoDoor detect resistance?
The CNC AutoDoor controller continuously monitors the movement of the door.
If unexpected resistance is detected, such as a human hand or arm, the controller immediately responds according to its programmed safety parameters. This intelligent monitoring eliminates the need for mechanical adjustments during normal operation, ensuring smooth and reliable door operation.
What are the advantages of a servo-driven CNC door opener compared to a pneumatic system?
Servo-driven door openers provide precise, controlled and repeatable door movement.
Key advantages include:
No compressed air required
Consistent door movement
Suitable for heavy machine doors
Smooth acceleration and deceleration
Reliable operation in continuous production
Well suited for robot and cobot integration
Does CNC AutoDoor require limit switches?
No.
Because the controller automatically learns and monitors the complete door movement, additional limit switches are generally not required for normal operation.
Why are the electronics installed in a separate control cabinet?
In CNC production environments, coolant, oil mist, dust and metal particles are common.
For this reason, the controller, power supply and electrical connections are housed in a separate Rittal control cabinet. This protects sensitive electronic components and supports reliable operation and a long service life.Is CNC AutoDoor easy to install?
Yes.
CNC AutoDoor has been designed for straightforward installation on a wide range of CNC machines.
Every system is supplied with universal mounting brackets, allowing installation on many different machine brands and models.
